At Wilverley Inclosure in the New Forest

Sometimes clients are so 'camera ready' it's ridiculous! This is exactly what Charlie and Daniel were like. They were so comfortable and confident in front of the camera! I always ask how couples are feeling about having their photos taken, and I usually get 'yeah, fine, OK', but when I dig a little deeper, it turns out that they are actually a bit nervous. This is fair enough! After all, most people aren't used to being in front of a camera,

But when Charlie and Daniel said 'yeah, no problem, very happy', they actually meant it! They had come along with some ideas of their own for poses to try. I always have poses to direct couples into for those who don't know what to expect, but am equally happy to add some poses that the couple have seen and liked on Pinterest or Instagram. You never know how a pose is going to turn out until you try it, so there is no better place to try than at your engagement shoot. You aren't taking time away from your guests to try things that might not work. You just get to give it a go, and if you love it, we can do it on your wedding day, and if not, then it's not the end of the world!

My favourite of these couple-led poses, was the champagne pop! A tricky one to achieve sometimes, as the 'pop' can look a bit flat, but Daniel shook the bottle up REAL good, and we got a lovely champagne spray that photographed brilliantly! I really like these fun photos, and would definitely try the pose again.

I was really getting into the spirit of Autumn when we had this photo shoot. This is my favourite time of year in the forest, as it is just simply beautiful. All of those autumnal colours are fabulous! My autumnal-fever got even higher when I spotted some delightfully shaped mushrooms that were simply begging to have the engagement ring balanced on them! They were very photogenic mushrooms, I must say, and I love those photos because they really capture the spirit of the season.

All in all, this was a wonderful photo shoot, that I had so much fun doing! I can't wait for the wedding next year!
