Easter Jiggy Wrigglers Southampton West Baby and Toddler Portraits

Quote of the week, 'I've dressed my baby up as a chicken, is it a bit much?'

No. A thousand times no.

In my humble opinion, you really can't do too much with babies in fancy dress! More is more. I only wish that the chicken costumes went up in age range a bit more. My toddler would look excellent dressed as a chicken! Instead, I had to settle for some leggings with chickens on, and I couldn't find anything at all Easter themed for the almost-toddler. You get the best dress up clothes for newborns! I must admit, I do like to do a scan of the shops after Easter, Halloween and Christmas, and see if I can buy my kids their outfits for the following year in the sale. I got some excellent Halloween pyjamas last year for £1!

Jiggy Wrigglers Southampton West's Easter sessions this year were a feast for the eyes (in terms of Easter themed outfits) and a feast for the senses in terms of everything else that we all know and love from the wonderful Jiggy Kat, and her fabulous Jiggys sessions.

I went for a much simpler photo set up than for Mother's Day. I really have vowed never to use balloons for a backdrop ever again, because they just did not behave! And they were a bit too irresistible for the Jiggy babies and tots. Baby photography is wonderful, and I really love doing it, but it can occasionally be hard work, and the balloons just made everything more stressful than they needed to be, so, it was farewell forever balloons, and hello simple backdrop. The Easter backdrop I chose was a lovely rustic bunny one, with potted plants and baskets of eggs that gave it a very 3D feel. So, all I added was a lovely crochet blanket, crocheted by my very talented Mother-in-law, and all of the stuffed rabbits I could find in my house... which was quite a few. My two were there for one of the sessions, and my daughter did wander over at one point to collect all of her teddies, which was quite amusing. She was persuaded to let the other children borrow them and the finishing touch were some lovely, fluffy bunny ears. It doesn't get much more Eastery than that.

I did manage to persuade a few parents to get in on the photo action too, which I was pleased with. If you've been keeping up with my other Jiggys blog posts, you'll know that it is my mission to get parents into as many photos as possible, because we NEVER get to be in any photos! But for the most part, parents wanted to stick with photos of their cutie-pies all dressed up in their Easter outfits and bunny ears, and I was more than happy to oblige. I could take photos all day long of cute babies and never get bored! You'll often catch me between photo shoots, singing along to the music and getting my tiny-baby fix, especially needed now that my littlest one is walking!

If you've stumbled upon this blog post and haven't yet been to a Jiggy Wrigglers session, I take photos at the Jiggy Wrigglers Southampton West Specials, but the fabulous Kat runs classes every week Monday-Thursday. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out on a lot of fun! Hopefully, I'll see you at a Jiggys session soon.

Until then, enjoy some Easter cuteness...
