This page is all about my charity work with the UK charity Epilepsy Action, a wonderful charity which supports those with epilepsy and those with family members who have epilepsy.
I have epilepsy. I am very lucky in that it is completely controlled by medication and I haven't had a seizure for a very long time, but for several years it was the biggest, most scary thing happening in my (and my families) life. If you would like to read more about my epilepsy story, take a look at my blog post; http://www.fayesphotos.com/blog/epilepsy-awareness-my-story
Epilepsy is a very diverse medical condition that manifests itself in very different ways in different people. It is also extremely hard on the families of those who suffer.
My aim with my partnership with Epilepsy Action is to raise money and awareness of this difficult medical condition, by bringing a little bit of joy to the families that suffer. I am doing this through my favourite thing, of course, photography.
Each month, I will feature a different family on my blog and tell a little of their epilepsy story. You'll come to learn just how diverse this condition is and some of the difficulties that epilepsy sufferers and their families face, and hopefully it will inspire you to donate to Epilepsy Action. 100% of the money donated for these photo shoots goes directly to Epilepsy Action, and directly to those in need of support.
