Elegant and Intimate Micro-Wedding at the Timeless Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa.
This gorgeous day feel like a lifetime ago! So much has happened since! You may have noticed that I've been a bit quiet on the blog for a few weeks. Well, we took a family trip to Thailand over Easter, and it's only just starting to feel like the little ones are recovered! We had a wonderful time, but it's safe to say, I won't be taking a 2 and 4 year old on a long-haul flight again any time soon!
Anyway, I love looking back on a wedding and thinking about everything that happened on the day, with the added benefit on hindsight. We were SO lucky with the weather! It had been wet the days surrounding the wedding, and it was meant to rain on the day, but it held off! We managed to get all of the group photos and all of the couples photos done outside! This was such a win, because one of the reasons for getting married at Chewton Glen is the gorgeous grounds! The building itself makes for a wonderful background for group photos, and then there are so many interesting and hidden areas in the garden that are just perfect for couples photos. Everything was covered in daffodils, and all the outside photos are giving serious spring-time vibes.
You know how much I adore a micro wedding! Micro weddings just give such relaxed and chilled out vibes compared to huge weddings with hundreds of guests. L and A's wedding was no exception. From the minute I walked into the getting ready room, the Bride and her girls were all having fun already. We did a wedding dress reveal to the bridesmaids, which was fun, and even the rather photo-shy Groom was happy to strike a few poses for me.
With such a detail-oriented Bride, it was no wonder that the flat lay detail photos are some of my favourites from the day. L had thought of everything, down to the tiniest little detail, and she looked absolutely gorgeous in her mermaid-style wedding dress.
The wedding reception was in a different place to normal at Chewton Glen, because the reception room was being refurbished. So, the wedding breakfast was in a lovely room that opened out onto the beautifully manicured lawn. The table was one big one, which is so lovely for a small wedding, as everyone is close enough to talk to everyone else! Even the staff were excited to see the set up, since it hadn't been done before. They were all very pleased!
It was a fabulous day, and I wish L and A a very happy ever-after!
