Styled Sophistication at Melchet Court: A Green & White Winter Wedding Shoot

In early February, with winter still holding Hampshire in its chilly grip, I had the pleasure of organising and photographing a beautifully styled wedding shoot at the brand new Melchet Court wedding venue. Despite the grey skies and cold breeze (and the looming threat of rain!), the day turned out to be full of warmth, laughter, and stunning details — all perfectly curated to reflect the elegant and sophisticated vibe of this incredible venue.

The shoot was styled around a timeless green and white colour palette — fresh, clean, and perfectly in tune with the refined atmosphere of Melchet Court. From the delicate floral arrangements to the intricate stationery, every element was thoughtfully chosen and came together seamlessly thanks to an amazing team of creative suppliers.

Styling & Details

The fabulous styling of the venue was by The House of Styling, who transformed the chapel and dining areas into something truly special. The dining tables were dressed in olive green and white, with layered textures and elegant touches that balanced modern luxury with classic romance. Wessex Cater Hire provided the tableware, including green glassware that complemented the colour theme beautifully and added a sophisticated edge to the tablescapes.

The florals by Pomp and Petals were pure drama — lush greenery paired with white blooms that created a sense of abundance and occasion. From an oversized arrangements for the arbour and outside alcove, to statement centrepieces, every floral moment added to the grandeur of the shoot.

We also had the joy of photographing the delicate green and white stationery and signage by Alison Jane Calligraphy — a true artist. Her pieces added soft, graceful touches to the shoot, and we had so much fun styling flat lays to show off all the intricate details.

The bride looked breathtaking in an off the shoulder, bardot sleeve gown with just the right amount of modern elegance and drama. Her handmade shoes from Becci Boos Shoes added a personal, bespoke touch.

Her up-do, styled by Lucy Wellgreen Hair, was adorned with not one but two vintage statement hair pieces from Vintage Adornments, creating a romantic, heirloom-inspired look. Makeup was by the talented Lisa Virgo Makeup Artist, who brought out a natural glow that looked beautiful in both natural and indoor lighting.

The stunning cake by The Viking Bakehouse was a showstopper, designed to match the shoot’s theme perfectly. They also created a playful twist with biscuit place names for the dining table — a fun, original idea that added personality and charm.

The Shoot

We were battling the weather from the start — cold, windy, and rain always just minutes away — but the whole team pulled together brilliantly. We managed to capture all our exterior shots just before the heavens opened, though some of the images have a beautifully windswept quality that only adds to the winter romance feel. The interiors of Melchet Court provided the perfect backup, with luxurious spaces and soft natural light that gave us so many lovely moments to work with.

The entire day was captured for Melchet Court’s brand new website, and I feel so lucky to have worked alongside such a talented and passionate team.
