Autumn magic in the New Forest

Let's talk about how obsessed I am with this couple... and with mushrooms!

Nothing makes me happier than when I meet a couple who are on the same nerd wavelength as me. This became immediately apparent with R and J during our initial ZOOM chat, when sat behind them on a shelf was the enormous lego Eye of Sauron that I had been coveting for many years (and now own and can't wait to start!!!) We bonded over our mutual love of Lord of the Rings, and they told me some of the Back to the Future elements of their wedding next year, and I was officially sold. Luckily, they were sold too, and we met up in November, in my favourite place to take photos; the wonderful, Wilverley Inclosure in the New Forest.

The trees were just starting to show their colours, and there were so many different mushrooms for me to take photos of jewellery on, so I was a very happy photographer. There's something about mushrooms that is very pleasing to me. I find them very photogenic, and they really scream 'Autumn' to me. It's even better, when you start demanding jewellery from your couple to pose with said mushrooms, and they just go with the flow, and keep handing over various bits of jewellery, including a gorgeous Lord of the Rings necklace. Ahh, a match made in heaven!

R and J were relaxed from the word go, and were giggly and adorable and everything a photographer dreams about for an engagement photo shoot. I really loved taking their photos. Here are some of my favourites...
