A beautiful, laid-back, relaxed engagement photo session in the beautiful Spring-time Bolderwood Inclosure, in the heart of The New Forest, Hampshire.

I really love engagement sessions, especially if I have only ever met the couple via Zoom chat, usually many months before we get to meet face to face. Meeting for the first time on a couples wedding day can be a bit daunting for them, as I am a stranger, who is a constant presence on their big day. It is so much nicer for everyone when I turn up on a wedding day and I already have a connection to the couple. The engagement shoot is the perfect way to form suorch a connection.

Nayi and Matt were just as lovely face-to-face as they had been on our Zoom call. They were relaxed and very natural in front of the camera, which made my job super easy! They looked cute and happy and in love and exactly how a couple should look a month before their wedding. What bliss for a photographer! It's made me super excited for the wedding day!

Bolderwood isn't one of my usual spots that I suggest for photos. Sometimes couples know where they would like to have their engagement shoot, but more often they take my suggestions and we end up at my favourite spot of Wilverley Inclosure. But Bolderwood was stunning! Such tall, beautiful trees, which gave us some beautifully dramatic pulled back images, especially in black and white. I loved it there and will definitely be using it again in the future. A great suggestion from this gorgeous couple!

The photo at the top of this page is my favourite from the session. I think that both Nayi and Matt look so relaxed and happy. We have beautiful light filtering through into the background, and we have some serious hair goals going on - on both sides! Take a look below at some of my other favourites from this lovely session. Enjoy!
