A blustery morning mini family photo shoot on Highcliffe beach!
Mini family photo shoots are going to start featuring a bit more on my blog from now on. I've had a few very successful mini shoots and really enjoyed them, so they are going to become a bigger part of Faye's Photos. Very exciting!
A mini session is exactly what it sounds like - a 20 minute photo session, instead of a full hour. It's much easier for younger children to keep entertained for this shorter amount of time, and it's definitely a more economical way of keeping your family photos up to date every year. Rather than spending lots on a big photo shoot just for your family, lots of families all come to the same spot for a 20 minute time slot and you get to choose your photos from the gallery that is delivered, fully edited, just a few days later. A mini family shoot includes a digital copy of the Faye's Photos Mini Family Session Guide to give you some guidance on what to expect, what to wear and ways to bride/entertain your kiddies to get some smiles. You simply choose your time slot and pay your booking fee all online and then you're all set to go.
This particular family mini was at Highcliffe beach, a favourite spot of mine. The day started off a bit cloudy, and unfortunately, the kiddies moods matched the clouds!
I usually have some posing prompts to get the families relaxed and interacting with each other, but sometimes the plan goes out of the window (or sails off to sea) and candid observations are the only way to go!
Once the children got used to me being near (ish) them, they relaxed and so did Mum and Dad, and in the end we managed to get some gorgeous family photos.
