Maria & Russell's summery engagement photo shoot at the fabulous Highcliffe Castle.

The zig zag path. Everyone who knows Highcliffe beach and Highcliffe Castle will know the zig zag path well. For many it is simply a way of getting from the beach to the castle in one (slightly out of breath) go. For one couple though, this path has a special significance.

The zig zag path was the place where Maria and Russell looked out over the stunning view of the Isle of Wight and the sandy Highcliffe beach and said to each other, 'why don't we live here?'

A huge decision, and certainly the right one.

Personally, I don't know how anyone can visit this part of England and NOT want to move here immediately! It's beautiful!

It's so lovely to take such happy, gorgeous engagement photos at a place with such a deep, personal significance to the couple on the eve of their wedding.

And of course, it doesn't hurt that at the top of this twisty path, we have the simply stunning Highcliffe Castle.

The perfect spot for photos of a couple who don't get the chance to have many photos of just the two of them. It's tricky when you have kids - there is always someone left out of the photos! Kids are wonderful and amazing, but it's so important to take some time to spend with just the two of you. Especially if your wedding is just around the corner!

An understated, but certain feeling of calmness that comes with knowing that you are absolutely making the right decisions and heading in the right direction in life. That is the vibe I got between this lovely couple and I can't wait to capture that same feeling on their wedding day next week!
